My changes don't show on my store

Click Save in the theme editor; nothing reaches customers before that. If you edited a draft copy of Vellure, publish it in Online Store. Still the old page? Reload it, or open it in a private window.

Sections show gray pictures

Those are placeholders, shown wherever a section is waiting for your image or product. Select the section or block and choose your own. Customers never see a placeholder for a picture you have chosen.

The popup or age verification doesn't appear

Both start switched off. Turn them on with Enable in the Popup or the Age verification section. Each one also remembers visitors who have already seen it: the popup for the number of days in Show again after, and age verification for as long as Remember the answer says. To see it again while testing, open your store in a private window.

My countdown timer doesn't show

A countdown needs an End date; without one, customers see nothing. Once the date has passed, it does what When the countdown ends says: show a message, hide the timer, or hide the whole section. See Countdown timer.

How do I change the colors of one section only?

Every section has a Color scheme setting. Pick another scheme for it, or create a new scheme in Theme settings → Colors and pick that.

How do I change words such as "Add to cart" or "Sold out"?

In Online Store, open Vellure's ⋯ menu and choose Edit default theme content. See Translate the theme.

Filters don't appear on my collection pages

Filters come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app. Add at least one filter there, and check that Show filters is on in the collection page's Collection section. See Filters.

Star ratings don't appear

The stars come from a product reviews app. Install one, and turn on Show product rating in Theme settings → Product cards and the Rating block on the product page. See Product reviews.

The photos don't change when a customer picks a color

Vellure needs to know which photos belong to which color: a variant image for each color, or a marker such as #rosewood in a photo's alt text. See Variant images and swatches.

Why do some prices start with "From"?

When a product's variants have different prices, its card shows the lowest one with From in front, so customers know other options cost more. The exact price shows once they choose.

A product shows as sold out, but I have stock

Check the product's inventory in the Shopify admin, and that it is available in the country the customer is shopping from in Settings → Markets.

How do I give some products a different layout?

In the theme editor, open the page selector, choose Products, and click Create template. Change the new template's sections, save it, then assign it to products in the Shopify admin, in each product's Theme template setting.

How do I open the cart as a page instead of a drawer?

Set Cart type to Page in Theme settings → Cart.

The editor's preview looks different from my store on my laptop

The preview is narrower than your screen, because the sidebar and the settings panel take room, so it can show the tablet layout. Look at the store in its own browser tab to see the full desktop layout.

How do I add an app's widget, such as reviews or a size chart?

Many apps add a block you can place with Add block, or a section from the Apps tab of Add section. Others are turned on under App embeds in the editor. See The theme editor.

Can I edit Vellure's code?

Yes, once you have bought it, from the theme's ⋯ menu in Online Store with Edit code. Make a copy first. Changes to the code aren't covered by support, and they may need to be repeated by hand when you update Vellure. See Support policy.
