Newsletter sign-ups
Vellure has three email sign-up forms. Each one adds the visitor to your customers in the Shopify admin, marked as subscribed to email marketing.
| Form | Where to set it up |
|---|---|
| The footer's sign-up | Footer → Newsletter block |
| A popup that opens on a delay, a scroll or when the visitor is about to leave | Popup, with Popup goal set to Newsletter signup |
| The sign-up on the password page, before your store opens | Password page → Email signup block |
To see who signed up, go to Customers in the Shopify admin and filter by Email subscription status. Send them emails with the free Shopify Email app, or another email marketing app.
Tip
A sign-up converts better when it promises something specific, such as 10% off your first order or early access to new shades. If you promise a discount, create it in Discounts first and send it with a welcome email.
Customer accounts
Customers can sign in to see their orders, track deliveries and save their addresses. Turn accounts on in the Shopify admin under Settings → Customer accounts.
Vellure's account icon is Shopify's own sign-in button. Customers sign in with a one-time code sent to their email, with no password to remember, and once signed in the icon opens a menu of their account pages.
| Where | Setting |
|---|---|
| The account icon in the header | Header → Show account icon |
| The links in the account menu | Header → Customer account menu |
| The account button on phones | Mobile navigation bar → Account block |
The account icon appears only while customer accounts are turned on in your settings.
Note
Vellure is made for Shopify's current customer accounts. If your store still uses the older, legacy customer accounts, switch to customer accounts in Settings → Customer accounts.
