Slideshow

A slideshow shows one large slide at a time, each with its own picture or video, heading, text and buttons. Use it at the top of a page for your main campaigns, or further down to tell a few stories in turn.

Find it in the editor

Click Add section and choose Slideshow. Each slide is a Slide block inside it; add more with Add Slide.

Layout

Setting	Description
Full width	Runs the slides from edge to edge instead of within the page width.
Fixed while the page scrolls over it	Holds the slideshow in place while the next section scrolls up over it. Works only as the first section on the page.
Banner height	Small, Medium, Large, or Adapt to image, which follows the shape of the first slide's image.

Content

Setting	Description
Heading size	The size of every slide's heading: Small, Medium, Large or Extra large.
Text size	The size of every slide's text: Small, Medium or Large.
Content spacing	The space between the heading, text and buttons: Tight, Normal or Roomy.

Slideshow

Setting	Description
Transition	How one slide changes to the next: Fade or Slide.
Show arrows	Shows the previous and next arrows.
Show dots	Shows a row of dots, one for each slide.
Loop	After the last slide, continues with the first.
Auto-rotate	Moves to the next slide on its own. It pauses while the pointer is over the slideshow, and stays still in the theme editor and for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
Change slide every	How many seconds each slide stays (2–12s). Shown when Auto-rotate is on.
Controls color scheme	The colors of the arrows and dots, which sit over your images. Pick a scheme that stands out against them.

Blocks

Slide

One slide. Add slides with Add Slide under the section in the sidebar, and drag them to change their order.

Background

Setting	Description
Background type	An Image, a Video, or a plain Color.
Image	The slide's picture (2400 x 1000px recommended). Shown when Background type is Image.
Mobile image	A separate picture for phones (900 x 1150px). Leave it blank to crop the desktop image. Shown when Background type is Image.
Video	A video uploaded to Shopify. It plays muted and on a loop. Shown when Background type is Video.
Background color	The color. Shown when Background type is Color.
Overlay opacity	Darkens the image or video so the text stays readable (0–90%).
Overlay color	The overlay's color. Shown when the overlay is above 0%.

Layout

Setting	Description
Color scheme	The colors of the slide's text and buttons. On a dark photo, choose a scheme with light text.
Content position	Where the text sits on a large screen, in a three-by-three grid from Top left to Bottom right. The text alignment follows the position.
Mobile content position	Where the text sits on a phone.
Content width	How wide the text may run on a large screen: Small, Medium, Large or Full.

Text

Setting	Description
Heading	The slide's heading.
Heading color	Overrides the scheme's heading color. Leave it blank to use the color scheme.
Text	A short text under the heading.
Text color	Overrides the scheme's text color. Leave it blank to use the color scheme.

Buttons

Setting	Description
First button label	The first button's text. Leave it empty to hide the button.
First button link	The page it opens. Shown when it has a label.
First button style	Solid or Outlined. Shown when it has a label.
Second button label	The second button's text. Leave it empty to hide it.
Second button link	The page it opens. Shown when it has a label.
Second button style	Solid or Outlined. Shown when it has a label.

Note

Selecting a slide in the editor's sidebar brings it into view in the preview, so you can edit any slide without waiting for it.
