Set up your store

Work through these steps in order. Each one links to the page that explains it in full. The early steps change the whole store at once, so the later ones go quickly.

1. Your brand

1. Logo and favicon: Theme settings → Logo and branding.
2. Colors: edit the three color schemes in Theme settings → Colors. Every section uses one of them, so this is where your store's look is decided.
3. Fonts: Theme settings → Typography.
4. Buttons and product cards: Buttons and Product cards.

2. Navigation

1. Build your menus in Content → Menus: see Navigation menus.
2. Choose the menu, the layout and the icons of the Header, and write a short message in the Announcement bar.
3. Set up the Footer and the Bottom bar, and add your links in Theme settings → Social media.

3. The home page

Open the home page in the editor and go through its sections from the top: replace the pictures and words, and choose your collections and products. Hide or remove what you don't need, and add sections from Sections. See Home page.

4. Products and collections

1. On the Product page, choose which blocks to show and in what order.
2. For products in several colors or shades, set up Variant images and swatches.
3. Add Filters with the Search & Discovery app, and give your collections an image and a description for the page banner.
4. Optional: Product reviews, Pairs well with and Bundle discounts.

5. Cart and checkout

Choose between the cart drawer and the cart page, and the extras around them, such as the order note and gift wrapping, in Theme settings → Cart and the Cart drawer.

6. Pages and policies

1. Create your About, Contact and FAQ pages in Online Store → Pages, and assign them the about, contact and faq templates. See Pages.
2. Write your store policies in Settings → Policies. The bottom bar links to them.

7. Before you publish

1. Turn on the Popup or Age verification if you want them. Both start switched off.
2. Check every page in the editor's mobile preview, then on a real phone.
3. Place a test order.
4. Publish Vellure: see Install Vellure.
